Avolve Software Adds Support For NWD File Format & Freedom To ProjectDox

Sheffield, UK, 21st February 2007: NavisWorks Ltd., developers of interactive viewing technology and JetStream, the leading 3D design review solution today announced that Avolve Software, developers of ProjectDox, are to release a version of their online project management software that supports the NavisWorks .nwd file format and the JetStream Freedom viewer.

ProjectDox now becomes a 3D construction model visualization and communication solution that enables those in the architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) market to more effectively manage complex projects. Users can upload .nwd files to ProjectDox for viewing with Freedom, which can be loaded into the browser as an ActiveX control on demand. ProjectDox treats .nwd files as any other document, with support for versioning, notifications and workflow associations. "NavisWorks is truly a front-runner in the area of multi-format 3D visualization and building information model (BIM) data integration - they do it better than anyone," said Ron Loback, president and CEO of Avolve Software of Scottsdale, Arizona USA. Avolve Software and NavisWorks have agreed to work together to support more of NavisWorks' advanced technology for design engineering and construction projects. The companies will also engage in joint marketing and sales activities in the architectural, engineering and construction (AEC) market.
