JetStream v5.4 Delivers Full Autodesk 2008 Compatibility

Sheffield, UK, 17th May 2007: NavisWorks Ltd., developers of JetStream, the leading collaborative 3D design review software, today announced the release of their latest version 5.4. Enhancements include support for Autodesk 2008 products and the latest releases from other important industry leaders.

JetStream v5.4 delivers updated and improved file support in the core JetStream Roamer and the TimeLiner plug-in. With this release NavisWorks maintains its excellent long standing support for Autodesk 3D products and also offer benefit for users of other popular design and scheduling applications.

Commenting on the latest release, Peter Thompson, CEO, NavisWorks Ltd., said, "We aim to get compatibility with any new Autodesk release as soon as possible, and I think we've broken all records with supporting 2008 so soon after its release, including the latest RealDWG technology. Our ongoing developer partnership with Bentley has allowed us to add MicroStation XM and we continue to support industry leaders such as Graphisoft, Google, Microsoft and Primavera to ensure we retain our lead as the 3D and 4D Design Review product of choice"

The Autodesk 2008 compatibility delivered in JetStream v5.4 is enhanced with Automatic Properties support. Object properties such as volume or cost (stored and shown as mathematical formulae in ADT 2007 and Architecture) can now be viewed more easily as object properties. The updated MicroStation exporter allows JetStream v5.4 to work with MicroStation XM, the latest release from Bentley, and further file support enhancements mean NavisWorks .nwc files can be exported from the latest 2007 version of Graphisoft Constructor and native .skp files from Google Sketch Up v6 can be read.

JetStream v5.4 also updates our support for Microsoft Project and Primavera. TimeLiner, the 4D plug-in for Roamer, is now compatible with Microsoft Project 2007 (the latest release) and support for Primavera Baseline Project files has been added to allow linking to the data within this baseline file for Planned vs Actual TimeLiner sequencing.
