Sheffield, UK, 8th June 2005: NavisWorks Ltd., developers of interactive viewing technology and the leading 3D computer aided design review solution today announced the release of the latest version of NavisWorks JetStream. This first NavisWorks JetStream point release offers increased support for Autodesk products plus additional file format enhancements, full localisation for German, Chinese, Japanese, and a new French GUI.
Launched in December 2004. NavisWorks JetStream introduced technology for improved 3D model handling with enhanced navigation, better process integration and many new features. The fourth generation of NavisWorks is already a solution proven to be powerful and flexible yet affordable and easy to use. This first point version of NavisWorks JetStream further extends interoperability and accessibility; giving universal access to view; walkthrough and coordinate 3D design models and create 4D simulations regardless of file size or format and all without the need for a CAD system.
AutoCAD users will benefit particularly from additional support delivered in this new release. ADT space objects are now recognized by NavisWorks JetStream which has long supported the properties of the geometry. Increased proxy graphics support supplements basic lines with poly lines and circular arcs so that in the absence of an appropriate object enabler a simplified geometry appears.
NavisWorks JetStream Presenter delivers enhancements in this latest release. VRML support introduced in the initial JetStream release is improved so that image and pixel textures exported as part of the VRML file are now visible. 3D Studio Max support is extended to include version 7 and AutoCAD 2D raster image support is included for the first time.
